分词作定语(定语从句作定语和分词作定语的区别

定语从句定语从句做定语是一个句子作定语，而现在分词作定语是一个非谓语动词作定语，非谓语动词不是谓语，所以就不是句子，而句子本身是句子，这点儿是不一样的。

比如i know the man standing over there 中standing over there就是一个现在分词短语作后置定语，但是我也可以说成i know the man who is standing over there,这里面 who is standing over there就是定语从句做定语。
